Survey

 Survey is an art to determine the relative position between two points by direct or indirect measurements of distance, direction and elevation with the help of linear and angular measurements.

There is also a point that is levelling.

It means to determine a line which is vertical by means of which is to establish.

Levelling deals with vertical planes and Survey deals for horizontal and linear measurements both.This is the main difference between Levelling and Survey.
